Endurance tests are designed to subject products to conditions such as extreme temperatures, extreme temperature variations and moisture-condensing or moisture-saturated environments. Temperature cycling, for example, can fatigue joints of different materials causing them to fail. Other endurance tests such as HAST and bias aging are useful in accelerating existing failure mechanisms thereby simulating long-term, real-life operations in a span of hours or days.
