Mechanical integrity tests are designed to subject products to suddenly applied forces, abrupt changes in direction.
The mechanical shock and vibration tests, for example, are intended to determine the suitability of devices for use in electronics equipment to withstand the result of rough handling, transportation or field operation. Each of these tests may cause the loosening of parts or relative motion between parts in the specimen, may produce objectionable operating characteristics such as noise and wear, and may often result in fatigue and failure of mechanical parts.
Silicon Cert Laboratories offers the below in-house mechanical integrity tests to standards such as JEDEC, MIL-STD, Telcordia and the Automotive Electronics Council (AEC-Q100).
