Mechanical Tests

Mechanical integrity tests are designed to subject products to suddenly applied forces and/or abrupt changes in direction.

The mechanical shock and vibration tests are intended to determine the suitability of devices for use in electronics equipment to withstand the result of rough handling, transportation, or field operation.  Each of these tests may cause the loosening or relative motion between parts in the specimen which in turn may produce objectionable operating characteristics such as noise and wear;  mechanical testing often results in fatigue and failure of mechanical parts.

Silicon Cert Laboratories offers the below in-house mechanical integrity tests to standards such as JEDEC, MIL-STD, Telcordia, and the Automotive Electronics Council (AEC-Q100).
